Alongside '731' we also shot the dark, gothic tale that is the 'Voyage of The Necronaut'
As producer and director, I recognised a really short timeframe on this one, so storyboarding became shot listing real quick. The location were mainly exteriors and but also what used to be the gunpowder tunnels from the Napoleonic era. The casting and prop-making for this was particularly fun. The most pleasing aspect was getting balance between the exterior 'romantic' shots with the horror themed chase sequence.
Scott Canty at Dark North Media really got hold of the idea with me and Chantelle Quince did great work on the aged look of the Necronaut himself.
This one had some lovely shots for both the song and the other tracks on the album that could be cropped to 9:16 in post. Felt like we were in a 'real' band with those up.... or was that just 'imposter syndrome'!
